Under the supervision of Admission Supervisory Committee and Fee Regulatory Committee for Professional Colleges of Kerala, the Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS) conducted the KMAT Kerala entrance examination on December 1, 2019.
On the same day as the exam, after the exam, official answer keys have been released. The KMAT Kerala December 2019 answer key has been published. Authorities have hosted the answer key at asckerala.org.
Last year CUSAT had conducted the exam and released answer keys a day after the exam. Then had announced the results 6 days after the exam.
Considering that this time answer key has been released in a shorter span of time after the exam, it is highly likely that result too would be declared sooner. It is expected that KUFOS will declare the result by December 7, 2019.
The answer key consists has been released in a pdf file format. Anyone can download it, and it does not require login. The file contains a table with question numbers and keys in it. In essence, it conveys the correct option number as the answer of corresponding question.
There are answers to 180 questions, presented in the answer key. Answers to 55 questions are A, to 37 questions the answer option is B, for 42 it is C, and for 46 it is D.
Candidates who had appeared in the exam can now check the answer key and predict their scores on the basis of it, and the marking scheme. The marking scheme is +4, -1. That is for every correct answer, one gets 4 marks, and for incorrect answers, 1 mark is deducted.
As per the official website kmatkerala.in, the minimum cut off marks for general candidates is 108, it is 72 for SEBC, and 54 for SC/ST.
While no login was required to get an answer key, it will be required for result. Thus candidates should keep their application number and password handy in order to check result when it is declared. By default, the password for kmatkerala.in is date of birth in dd/mm/yyyy format.
