Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education, Jammu has released the class 11th date sheet for the upcoming winter zone. The date sheet is available on the official website, jkbose.nic.in, notifies that the class 11th exam for JKBOSE shall commence on December 11, 2021. The examination for all the four faculties viz. Science, Arts, Commerce and Home Science shall begin with the General English subject.
A few days back, a fake date sheet for JKBOSE class 11th winter exams was doing rounds on the internet. This indeed caused a lot of anxiety and stress among the test-takers, however, the board has put a rest on all the rumours by releasing the official date sheet. Speculations were also high regarding promotions of class 11th students to class 12th on the basis of their attendance percentage but that conjecture has also been resolved.
The date sheet released by the board also comprises instructions meant for students and inspection staff. The board has stressed providing sanitized desks and bench to candidates going to appear for the JKBOSE class 11 exams. Candidates are asked to follow all the basic SOPs and Covid-19 guidelines and strictly adhere to them while inside the exam hall.
With less time available to candidates citing the closure of schools, non-availability of classes, the board with a view to lessen the burden of the candidates has reduced the overall syllabus for class 11th by at least 30%. Now, the questions in the examination will be asked from the reformed syllabus only.
Earlier, the board has notified that JKBOSE class 11th exam shall begin only when class 10th and 12th exams for the state are over. While answering the queries of the press, JKBOSE chairman Dr Farookh Ahmed Peer has also notified that the theory and practical exams for class 11th students shall be held in their respective schools, and the board is in no mood to create separate exam centers for the test takers.
He further stated that a supervisory staff shall be appointed by the school itself to make sure the exams are conducted safely at the same time keeping a check on the malpractices. Further, it was reported that the answer key valuation shall be done by the inspection teams of the school only.
