Jammu & Kashmir Bank Limited is inviting online applications for the recruitment of 1500 Banking Associates in 2020. A detailed recruitment notice is published on the official website of the bank at jkbank.com. The application process is starting on July 02, 2020. The last date of online registration of application and payment of fees is July 24, 2020. Additionally, candidates who already applied against notification dated 06.10.2018 are not required to re-apply although they can update their applications through a separate link available at the aforementioned website. The application editing facility will be available on the website between July 05 to July 24, 2020.
As per the detailed recruitment notice, the recruitment is only open for candidates who are domicile of Jammu & Kashmir UT. Candidates who are Ladakh UT domiciled (including those who have already applied) are to be notified separately. Candidates can check the category-wise reservations in the recruitment notice. Applicants must be at least 20 years old as on 01-Apr-2020. The maximum permissible age limit is 30 years (as on 01-Apr-2020) although relaxations are applicable for candidates belonging to special categories only. One must have a graduate degree in any discipline to apply for the recruitment. Appointed candidates will receive starting basic pay of Rs 13075 (with 2 advance increments) in the pay scale of Rs.11765-655/3-13730-815/3-16175-980/4-20095-1145/7-28110-2120/1-30230-1310/1-31540.
The selection of the eligible candidates is to be done on the basis of an online exam of 100 marks consisting of the tests for the English language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning. The maximum time allowed to complete the tests is 60 minutes with separately timed slots for each test. Candidates are allowed 20 minutes to complete the test for each subject. Those who qualify by securing the subject-wise cut-offs in each test are shortlisted as per merit. Candidates must note that wrong answers incur 0.25 negative marks. The bank issues call letters to eligible candidates which must be carried to the exam center along with photo identity proof and its photocopy.
The selection is purely on the basis of merit in terms of the marks obtained in the exam. At the time of joining, candidates are required to produce the printed application form, originals of educational certificates, photo identity proof, caste certificates, disability certificates, and other documents as specified in the detailed advertisement. Selected candidates will be required to execute a service bond of Rs 1 lac to remain in service for a period of 6 months.
The online registration of applications is done in three stages viz. registration, fee payment, and document upload. A fee of Rs. 800 must be paid by Unreserved candidates while SC/ST/PCP categories can pay Rs 600. The staff of J&K Bank is however exempted from the payment of fees. Candidates are advised to generate print outs of the e-receipt and application form after submission. Besides the specified documents such as photo and signature, candidates are also required to upload the self-declaration in the proforma available with the advertisement. The declaration is for being the domicile of J&K UT. Original J&K UT domicile certificate must be produced at the time of joining.
