JEST 2021 Exam Date

The Joint Entrance Screening Test will be conducted soon as per the latest notice released by the SERB. The online entrance test was scheduled for April 11, 2021 however the exam has been postponed and will be held on any Sunday between July 18, 2021 to August 08, 2021. The JEST is a screening test that is held for admission to M.Sc, PhD, and Integrated / M.Sc / M.Tech- PhD programs of different participating institutes. The exam is held for subjects such as Physics, Theoretical Sciences (TCS).

The questions asked in the examination are usually based on the syllabus of the Graduation and Post Graduation. The candidates, who have applied for the same and now are awaiting the examination can continue their preparation for the examination. The candidates waiting for the release of the admit card should keep a tab on the official website for all the latest updates.

The candidates should begin with checking and marking important points in the syllabus. The candidate must begin with dividing the syllabus into two parts i.e. strong and weak chapters. The weak chapters need brief attention hence they should be revised thoroughly while strong chapters should be dealt lightly.

The second important point is going through the weightage that each chapter holds in the examination. The candidates can follow the previous year papers or sample papers to get an idea of how many questions are asked from each chapter. In this way, they can put more focus on those topics that account for the majority of questions.

The third preparation tip is to not take revision lightly. The syllabus is vast and there are a plethora of chapters therefore the candidates should focus on the revision part and try to make short notes from the beginning. These notes will be helpful in doing quick revision before the examination.

Follow previous year papers of the JEST 2021 that contain questions asked in the last year. The candidates can download the previous year papers from the official website and solve the same to know their position with respect to the actual examination level.

In the end, solving Mock Tests specially designed for the JEST 2021 will be helpful in practicing for the examination. The mock tests will provide a space for practicing and they will also help in improving the accuracy and speed. The mock tests usually come with a dashboard that provides a clear insight into the chapters that require special concerns and the correct approach to solve each kind of question asked in the examination.
