JEE Main 2022

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has commenced the registration process for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2022. Candidates can submit the online application forms via the official website – jeemain.nta.nic.in. For the smooth conduct of the examination, the number of examination centres has been increased this time.

Last year, the total number of examination centres was 331 but this year the number of centres within the country is 501. This means that a total of 170 new centres have been set up. In addition to this, JEE Main 2022 will also be conducted outside India as well. For that, 13 new ‘out-side’ India exam centres have been set up.

The centres which are out-side India are as follows:

Choice-filling

To fill out the application form for JEE Main 2022, the candidate has to go through a total of 08 steps. In the first step, they have to enter their contact details. This will be followed by the personal details, Aadhaar details and exam and centre details.

While filling out the exam and centre details, the candidate has to provide four choices of the examination state and city which means that they will first have to select the examination state and then the city. As per the information bulletin, the concerned authority will make efforts to allot the examination centre in order of choice opted by the candidates. Nevertheless, a different city may also be allotted due to administrative or logistic reasons.

It must be noted that the choice of examination centre cities will be limited to the state of permanent address or the state of present address only. However, in case there are very few candidates from a particular city, then NTA will have the right to merge one, two or more cities together. In any case, the agency’s decision regarding the allotment of city or centre will be final. Any correspondence or request in this regard won’t be entertained.
