After the conclusion JEE Main 2021, students are already wondering about the 2022 session. National Testing Agency (NTA) is yet to provide any substantial clarity about Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2022. In fact, students are taking to social media, particularly Twitter, to ask questions about the exam. Predominant ones among them include – When will JEE Main 2022 exam be conducted? When will the application process begin? Will the exam be held 4 times next year? and many more.

JEE Main 2022 Exam Date
NTA is yet to provide an exact or tentative schedule for the JEE Main 2022 examination. However, based on last year’s schedule and the exam being conducted 4 times, the four sessions are tentatively scheduled in the months of February, March, April and May, 2021. These sessions are based on the actual schedule, without considering any postponement due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

If the tentative JEE Main 2022 schedule is going to follow suit, NTA is likely to begin the application process in the first week of December 2021, preferably on the first day itself. This implies that NTA might also release the information brochure any time soon on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.
How many times will JEE Main 2022 be conducted? Will extra attempts be conducted in 2022 as well?
As per several news reports, the JEE Main 2022 exam is expected to be held in 4 sessions. Months for conducting these sessions have already been specified before. the months of February and May 2021 will be dedicated to all three streams – Engineering, Architecture and Planning, similar to last year. However, March and April 2021 will be dedicated to only the Engineering stream.
Will the 75% criteria be applicable for JEE Main 2022?
Schools and colleges across the country are slowly opening up as the country and the education sector in India is slowly coming back on track. However, normal education is still a distant reality in some states, causing inconvenience to students. So, the 75% criterion in Class 12 is expected to also not be applicable in 2022. They will only be expected to pass the Class 12 board exams.
