NTA is expected to release JEE Main 2022 notification with exam date soon. However, in view of assembly elections, it is anticipated that the first phase of exam could be delayed from February to March. Nevertheless, despite the delay in release of official details of JEE Mains exam, engineering institutes across the country have started their preparations for B.Tech admission 2022. One of them is Amrita Vishwavidyapeetham, who will hold its own engineering entrance exam AEEE 2022, but has also decided to reserve seats for JEE Main candidates.
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has commenced the registration process for AEEE 2022. According to the brochure released by the deemed to be university earlier, the examination is scheduled to be held tentatively in March and May 2022. 25% of the seats however will be reserved for JEE students. The remaining 3% seats are reserved for students having SAT score card and 2% seats are for candidates who have cleared PUEE score.

The varsity usually provides admission on the basis of the marks scored in its own entrance examination. However, this time, the institution has made it clear that seats are reserved for other exams as well.

Candidates born on or after 1st July 20021, with a pass in 12th and 60% in PCM (with no less than 55% in each), passed in 2022 or 2021 – can apply for AEEE 2022.
Will the AEEE 2022 be held as remote proctored test or center based test?
Another point that was a major highlight of this year brochure is that AEEE will be conducted as a centre-based test only.
The university has made it very clear that it is going to conduct the computer-based test at the centre. However, if the situation is not conducive then the university will explore other options of conducting the examination transparently. The final decision regarding the exam dates will be taken by the authorities on the basis of the situation at that time.

The varsity in its brochure has reported that around 200 companies visit the campus every year. The highest package for the year 2021 was INR 56.95 Lakhs per annum whereas the minimum CTC was 5.8 Lakhs per annum. This year the university has achieved at least 95% placement.
Additionally, the deemed to be university has also informed that 50% of seats with scholarships are reserved for candidates who have scored high rank in the AEEE 2022 examination. This scholarship seat is assigned to candidates during the counselling process on the basis of AIR, and the B.Tech branch opted by them. The remaining seats shall be filled by the candidates who score high marks in JEE Main and SAT exam.
