The National Testing Agency has declared results for JEE Main 2021 today on jeemain.nta.ac.in. With the declaration of the results, various unofficial websites have launched college predictor tools based on the JEE Main 2021 results. These tools work with the help of an algorithm to predict a tentative college in which a candidate is likely to get admission.

As per reports, more than 09 lakh candidates have appeared for all the four JEE Main sessions. However, with so many students qualifying for the entrance examination, the demand for a good JEE Main college predictor tool is seen to rise. While these tools come in handy for the students, they do not provide the exact college prediction. All they do is give an idea regarding which college/institute students are likely to get admission.

Most of these tools are said to provide 90% accuracy because the results and cut-offs for colleges and institutes vary every year. However, taking help from these tools will only an idea of whether a candidate has any chance of getting admission in their dream college/institute or not. Last year, two notable coaching institutes Allen and Aakash have launched JEE Main college predictor tools that helped students to know their chances of admission based on JEE Main percentile, home state, category, gender, etc. Now, similar tools are available online that will not only help them to know their chances in NITs and IITs but also in other institutes that accept JEE Main 2021 marks.

Since most of these JEE Main 2021 tools work in a similar pattern, here is a generic overview of the steps that can be followed to predict one’s chances of college admission.

Step 1- Type JEE Main 2021 college predictor tool on the browser

Step 2- A list of tools will appear so select any one of them

Step 3- Enter the JEE Category Rank based on the candidate’s category

Step 4- Select/specify the home state

Step 5- Enter or select the caste group from the drop-down list

Step 6- Select the checkbox or specify the applicable gender

Step 7- Click on the predict button to know the same.

An interesting feature of most of these tools is that students can check the personalized report with the top predicted institutes. Further, they can get details about the course and round-wise JEE Main cut-offs different seat types, quotas and caste groups. Additionally, these tools also allow the students to get information about preferred courses, seats, fees and various college facilities.
