2 Uttar Pradesh Students Bag Rank 1 in JEE Main 2021; Meet Toppers Amaiya Singhal, Pal Aggarwal

The fourth session witnessed as many as 44 candidates achieving the 100th percentile while 18 candidates have been awarded the AIR 1 in the entrance exam.

Uttar Pradesh JEE Main 2021 Toppers

This year, according to official reports, a total of 10,48,012 candidates had registered for the JEE Main 2021 examination out of which, 9,39,008 candidates had successfully attended their chosen sessions. Surprisingly, only a total of 2,52,954 candidates appeared for all sessions of the candidates which is almost a fifth of the total registered candidates. Around 70% candidates appeared for the exam twice while 60% appeared thrice.

The COVID-19 pandemic has severely hampered the academics of students. Under such a tense and stressful atmosphere, the Education Ministry in association with NTA, decided to conduct the JEE Main 2021 examination four times. This move aimed at helping candidates improve their scores with each passing session.

JEE Main 2021 toppers bringing laurels to Uttar Pradesh

JEE Main 2021 session 4 was conducted on August 26, 27, 31 and September 01 and 02, 2021. In an unprecedented event, a whopping 44 candidates acquired the 100th percentile while 18 candidates were declared toppers based on tie-breaking criteria. Out of the 18 toppers, 4 belonged to Andhra Pradesh and 3 were from Rajasthan. 2 candidates each from Delhi, Telangana and Uttar Pradesh featured in the toppers’ list.

The JEE Main 2021 Session 3 (July) results also witnessed the same two candidates scoring 100 percentile marks –

However, the situation was different in both JEE Main 2021 Febuary and March sessions. No candidate from the state achieved the 100th percentile but were among those who had scored the 99th percentile.

JEE Main 2021 Session 4 Overview

After much wait and anticipation, National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2021 session 4 results today, September 15, 2021. The fourth session witnessed as many as 44 candidates achieving the 100th percentile. On the basis of tie-breaking criteria, a total of 18 candidates have been awarded the All India Rank (AIR) 1 in the entrance exam. Much to the delight of the people of Uttar Pradesh, two candidates from the state have topped the fourth session. These two achievers are Amaiya Singhal and Pal Aggarwal.

Based on the overall performance of candidates in all four JEE Main 2021, NTA released the category-wise cut-offs today, September 15, 2021. These cut-offs will help candidates determine their eligibility for the next stage – JEE Advanced 2021.
