JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 Exam Tomorrow, 7 April; 3 Special Instructions For B.Arch/B.Plan Candidates

National testing Agency starts the JEE Main 2019 April attempt tomorrow, on April 07, 2019. On the first day NTA is conducting only the paper 2 exam, in 2 shifts – 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. There are some special instructions for paper 2 candidates that are unlike the instructions for the paper 1 candidates for the exam. The JEE Main 2019 paper 1 will be held on April 08, 09, 10 and 12, 2019.

First, the paper 2 of JEE Main 2019 has 3 parts. Part 1 is the mathematics section and Part 2 is the Aptitude section. Part 3 is the Drawing section. Candidates have to attempt part 1 and 2 in online mode. However, part 3 is to be attempted in the sheet that will be provided at the exam hall for attempting the drawing questions.

Secondly, the candidates who are attempting the paper 2 of JEE Main 2019 are allowed to carry with them their own geometry sets, colours (except for the watercolours), pens and pencils. The colours that are allowed include crayons, colour pencils, erasers, pencil colours, etc. Paper 1 candidates are not allowed to carry any such items.

Thirdly, The exam pattern for paper 2 is slightly different. The candidates must note that unlike paper 1 there are a total of 390 marks in paper 2. The candidates who are attempting paper 2 have to attempt 82 questions and in 3 hours. There will be 30 questions in Mathematics (Part-1) of 120 marks. In the Aptitude section, there will be 50 questions of 200 marks in all and the drawing section will have 2 questions of 70 marks.

Candidates will be allowed to enter the exam centre only with valid photo id proof, a passport sized image and the JEE Main 2019 Admit Card. The admit card must be carried in the printed format. Also, it is advised that the candidates reach the exam centre 1 hour before the exam start time.

The candidates must take care that they are also carrying the certificates of PwD if applicable. Inside the exam centre, the candidates have to provide with information as and when asked by the invigilator for the attendance purpose. they have to sign the attendance sheet and put their left-hand thumb impression. It is the responsibility of the candidates to ensure that they have completed the attendance sheet.

No candidates will be allowed to leave the exam centre before the exam ends. After the exam, NTA will be releasing the JEE Main 2019 response sheets and question papers within 2 days of the completion of the exam. In addition to that, the official answer keys can be expected within 5 days of the completion of the exam. The paper 2 results will be declared by May 15, 2019. However, the result of paper 1 is to be made available by April 30, 2019.
