JEE Advanced 2021 Today; Check Timings and Guidelines

The national-level entrance exam is going to be conducted in the form of two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2. The first paper will be held from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

The day has finally arrived for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2021. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur is all set to conduct the national-level entrance exam today, October 03, 2021, from 9:00 am onwards. Top 2,50,000 ranks of JEE Main 2021 exam will be competing for a seat in one of the IITs and so, the pressure is at its peak! The exam will be held across the country in the computer-based format. Apart from having a good frame-of-mind, candidates must also keep in mind all the instructions issued by authorities. These instructions must be followed to ensure the exam decorum. Here’s all a candidate needs to know before the JEE Advanced 2021 examination.

JEE Advanced 2021 Exam Timings

The national-level entrance exam is going to be conducted in the form of two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2. The first paper will be held from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. The second paper will be conducted from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. There is a gap of 2.5 hours between the exam to help candidates recuperate and freshen-up for the second paper.

According to the information brochure, the JEE Advanced 2021 exam centres will open from 7:00 am onwards. Candidates must arrive to the exam centre at least 30 minutes prior to the commencement of exam. Those arriving post 9:00 am for Paper 1 will not be permitted. Similarly, candidates arriving post 2:30 pm for the second exam will not be allowed to give them exam.

At the same time, candidates are not allowed to leave the exam centre before 12:00 pm and before 2:30 pm. Only after each exam gets over will a candidate be allowed to set a step out of the exam hall. All these timings are important to follow as they have a small role to play in the overall outcome of JEE Advanced 2021 examination.

JEE Advanced 2021 Guidelines to Follow  

Apart from timings, candidates are advised to go through the following instructions and exam-day guidelines before the JEE Advanced 2021 examination –

# Carry the JEE Advanced 2021 admit card and a valid photo ID to the exam. The ID can be Aadhaar Card, education institute ID, Voter ID, Passport, PAN Card, etc.

# Document verification and frisking formalities will be conducted before the exam. Keeping these processes in mind, candidates are advised to report to the centre at least 30 minutes prior.

# Apart from the mentioned documents, only items such as pens, pencils, 50 ml hand sanitizer and water in a transparent bottle will be permitted inside the exam centre.

# Items such as study material, electronic devices, mobile phones, calculators, rulers, pouches, pencil boxes, watches, etc will not be permitted.

# Candidates have to wear a mask and follow social-distancing protocols at all times during the JEE Advanced 2021 examination.
