Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Increases 5000 Seats For Class 6 Admissions

Big announcement for the students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya. For an academic session 2019-20, the seats are increased by 5000. So, students seeking admission in class 6th for a session 2019-20 have the number of seats more as compared to the last year. Union Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javedkar has announced an increase in the number of seats. After the increment, the total number of seats will be 51000. Earlier the total number of seats was 46,600.

If we look back then in the last four years there was an increment of 9000 seats. While with the increment of 5000 seats, total 14000 seats increased in the last five years by the Modi government. This will not end here. The government is planning to add 32000 more seats in the next four years.

Prakash Javedkar has said that this step has been taken for providing the quality education of the rural students as well as to make the education system in the rural areas more accurate and strong.

For the year 2019 the total 31.10 lakh aspirants registered for the entrance examinations. In 2001 there were a total of 5.50 lakh students appeared for the examinations and every year this number has been increased.

Navodaya is the only education system in the country where students appear for the entrance examination for admission in class 6. It only aims to provide the quality education in the rural areas. Furthermore, our government is doing efforts in order to meet this desire under the Narendra Modi government. Apart from this, the government also doing the efforts for building up each Navodaya Vidyalaya in the districts of various states.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNVs) are more prominent than private schools or CBSE’s. As if we consider the previous statistics then it is recorded that JNVs consistently from the past five years marks the benchmark of more than 97 percent as the passing percentage in class 10 and 12. Out of this total percentage around 86 percent secured first position. Thus, we can simply say that for education it doesn’t matter from where you acquire it. The only matters is how you educate yourself.

By introducing 5000 more seats government has really bring a hope in the eyes of lakhs students. India is a country which has a pool of talent and by doing so government is trying to bring the literacy rate a level up. The registration for the admission in the JNVs has closed in the month of December.
