Council of Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) successfully conducted the ISC Class 12 Semester 1 Biology exam 2021-22 today, December 03, 2021. The test was held at various affiliated schools across the country, in the pen-and-paper format. Students had to appear for the exam from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm and were allotted 1 hour and 30 minutes to attempt the whole paper. Similar to CBSE, CISCE also updated its board exam system for the academic year 2021-22. Accordingly, the Semester I Biology exam consisted of 40 objective-based multiple-choice questions. These questions were based on the bifurcated syllabus. Due to the objective nature of the exam, students immediately expect the answer keys for the held exam.

It is not absolute whether the board will release any official answer keys for the ICSE Semester 1 Biology paper. Meanwhile, students can rely on the unofficial answer keys, solution pdfs and question analysis uploaded by several educators and teachers online. Applicants are advised to visit various sites and search for ISC Biology Semester 1 answer keys online on various platforms. With the help of the unofficial answer keys, applicants can immediately calculate their ISC Class 12 Semester 1 Biology score. This score may differ a little from the actual score but can give a rough estimate of the real score.

CISCE will be delivering the official answer keys to all Semester I subject tests, soon. Answer keys will be probably delivered in PDF format on the official site at cisce.org. However, this process will require a couple of days to be executed. Till then, students can refer to the unofficial answer keys to get a complete understanding of the examination and to deduce their respective performances in the Semester 1, Biology exam. The marking scheme prescribed by the CISCE, 1 mark for the correct answer, and no negative marks for wrong answers can be used to calculate the tentative marks scored in the examination.
As per the 2021-22 Bifurcated syllabus, today’s biology paper covered the following chapters as a part of the 50% syllabus scheduled for Semester 1 exam: Reproduction (Complete Unit), Genetics and Evolution (Complete Unit), Biology and Human Welfare – Microbes in Human Welfare. Applicants willing to find the answers on their own can take the help of the above chapters from their Biology textbook. The questions asked in today’s examination were mostly theory-based questions with a few logical ones. However, all of them were centered around the ISC syllabus.
