Silverzone foundation has officially released the International Olympiad of Science (IOS) answer key 2019. Today, on December 19, 2019, the foundation published the answer keys of set BB for classes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 biology, 11 mathematics, 12 biology, and 12 mathematics. For set CC, it says that the solutions will be available one month after the exam date.
To get the answer keys, students need to go to silverzone.org/AnswerKey. On this page, there are sections for each of the olympiad exams that Silverzone conducts. In each section is an image, followed by the name of exam, and link for answer keys. Clicking the red button in the science olympiad section opens up the set BB answer keys of IOS 2019. On the same page, set CC answer keys too will be available in time.
The science olympiad is conducted in three rounds, called as level 1, 2, and 3. As of now, the level 1 exam has been conducted, on both its scheduled dates November 19, 2019, and December 19, 2019. Result for all candidates, irrespective of their exam dates will be announced in the month of January 2020.
Level 1 exam consisted of a 60 minutes duration exam with 40 multiple choice questions for classes 1 and 2, and a paper with 50 multiple choice questions for classes 3 to 12. Question paper, and thus answer key of each class were different, and hence answer keys too have been provided separately. The papers had questions on science, reasoning and aptitude, scholar’s zone.
Whereas the first and second levels are held in the schools from where candidates have applied, level third will be in New Delhi. Result of the second level exam will be announced in March 2020.
After the third round, winners will be announced. Each winner will get the highest award applicable to him or her. Top three rank holders will get gold, silver, bronze medals too.
The foundation will provide test takers with chapter wise performance analysis report, which will tell the examinees how well they attempted the exam. This report aims at enabling students and their parents to analyze the student’s answers to determine their capabilities, and understand their strengths and weaknesses.
Report will consist of four sections, A, B, C, D. Section A will tell the candidate’s marks and rank in class, zone, international level. Section B will provide chapter wise performance scores. Then section C will tell percentile score to compare results with others within the zone, and at international level. Section D will show percentage score analysis of students compared to class, city, zone, and international level.
Level 2 scholarships include various awards; 1st rank holder for classes 1 to 10 will get cash prize of Rs 20,000 and trophy, 1st rank holder of class 12th will get cash prize of Rs 75,000 with trophy and 1st rank holder of class 11th will get Rs 50,000 cash prize as well as trophy.
Level 3 scholarship entails rank 1 and 2 holders, that is the top 2 students, to be sent for an educational excursion to NASA.
