Assam Irrigation Department has 643 vacancies in the posts of Subordinate Engineer, Power Pump Operator, Primary Investigator, Junior Assistant, and Section Assistant. The application form is going to release tomorrow, on December 20, 2019 at 10 am, online at irrigation.assam.gov.in. The last date to submit the application form is January 08, 2020.
There are 21 number of vacancies in the post of Subordinate Engineer, Grade I (Civil), 01 in Subordinate Engineer, Grade I (Mechanical), 23 in Junior Assistant (HOD Level), 159 in Junior Assistant (District Level), 397 in Section Assistant, 41 in Power Pump Operator, and 01 in Primary Investigator. The scale of pay is 14000-60500, Grade Pay Rs 6800 for all the posts.
One of the essential requirements to apply for Assam Irrigation Department recruitment 2019 is that the candidates must be a permanent resident of Assam. Age of the candidates should be not below 18 years and not above 38 years as on January 01, 2020. The upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for reserved category candidates.
Candidates interested to apply for the post of Subordinate Engineer, Grade I, should have a certificate of Draughtsmanship in Civil or should have passed the two years course of 3 years diploma course in the respective discipline. For the post of Junior Assistant, candidates must have passed a degree exam or its equivalent exam in any discipline from a recognized university. Also, candidates should have computer knowledge (MS office compulsory).
For the post of Section Assistant, candidates should have passed HSSLC or its equiv (10+2) exam from any recognised board/council. Candidates who want to apply for the post of Power Pump Operator, they must have passed 10+2 or HSSLC or its equivalent exam with ITI Certificate in Mechanical or Electrical. Candidates must have a minimum of 08 years of experience as a helper.
For the post of Primary Investigator, candidates must have passed HSSLC or its equivalent exam from any recognized Board/Council in any stream with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
Candidates can apply online through the link which will be provided at the website, irrigation.assam.gov.in. In the application form, candidates will have to upload documents like HSLC certificate / admit card for age proof; voter ID Card of the candidate or either of his/her Parents as proof of Permanent residence; certificate of qualifying examination; scanned image of candidate’s photo, signature, caste certificate from the competent authority.
Selection of the candidates for the Subordinate, Assistant vacancies will be done through a pen-paper based test. Selected candidates will be then eligible to appear for the Computer Proficiency Test / Skill test, wherever applicable. No viva-voice tets will be conducted for any of the given posts.
The recruitment test will be of 02 hours duration which will consist of 100 MCQ type questions. Lastly, based on the marks obtained in the written test and on verification of original documents, the final panel will be prepared for appointment in order of merit.
