Indian Army is going to conduct the entrance examination for Bachelors of Science (B. Sc) in Nursing on September 11, 2020. The admit card for the same is going to be released soon. Applied candidates have to download the admit card from the department’s official website joinindianarmy.nic.in. Through this entrance exam, the candidates will get admission into the Colleges of Nursing of Armed Forces Medical Services. Thereafter, they will also be given the opportunity to serve in military establishments.

It is important to carry the admit card to the examination centre. Candidates failing to do so will not be allowed to appear for the entrance test. Furthermore, students will also have to be present at the centre 30 minutes before. During the course of the examination, no candidate will be permitted to leave the centre.

The entrance test is an important step of the admission process. The selection procedure involves three major aspects- written examination, interview round and fulfilment of medical criteria. The entrance exam is a 90-minute test in a computer-based format. The paper contains 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) based on five subjects – Physics, Chemistry, General Intelligence, Biology and General English. All five sections will have 30 questions each.

The candidates have to secure minimum cut-off marks in the entrance exam to be eligible for the next round. Those who qualify will be called for an interview in the month of November, 2020. The interview is followed by a medical examination. The candidate’s health and physical fitness will be evaluated and marks will be given accordingly.

The final selection is done on the basis of the combined merit list of online exam, interview, medical examination, choice and vacancy in college. Selected candidates have to sign a bond to serve in the Military Nursing Service. In case of withdrawal from the course, candidates have to refund the bond money as per the bond agreement. The BSc. Nursing course is a 4-year course with 220 seats in total. These seats are presents in different colleges including Armed Forces Medical College, Pune and INHS, Asvini, etc.

Nursing exam was previously scheduled in the month of April, 2020. However, due to the COVID19 pandemic, the exam was postponed. It is going to be conducted on September 11, 2020 while the admit card will be released 15 days prior to the examination on the official website.
