Indian Institute of Technology BHU, Varanasi is inviting applications from eligible Indian candidates and foreign nationals for recruitment to contractual posts of Assistant Professor. IIT BHU has notified about vacancies for the aforementioned faculty positions in a detailed rolling advertisement IIT(BHU)/FA/Rolling Advt/01/2020. The advertisement indicating the terms and conditions of the recruitment and other important details is available at the institute’s website i.e. iitbhu.ac.in. There is no specified last date to apply for the recruitment. Interested candidates can submit applications throughout the year. The applications will be processed as per cut-off dates specified by respective departments/schools.
As per the notification, the vacancies for the posts of Assistant Professor Grade-I and Grade-II is available in various Science and Engineering departments and Interdisciplinary Schools. These departments include Architecture, Planning & Design, Ceramic Engineering, Chemical Engineering and many others. The complete list of departments and schools in which the vacancies are available can be checked from the rolling advertisement published by the Institute. At Grade-I, candidates will be compensated at Level 12 (Rs 101500-167400). For direct recruitment, the minimum pay is fixed at Rs 101500. However, after 3 years service, candidates will be promoted to Level 13 A1 (Rs 131400-204700). Assistant Professor Grade-II post holders are paid at Level 10 (Rs 57700-98200). The minimum pay is fixed at Rs 70900. After one year and three years of service, candidates are to be promoted to Level 11 and 12 respectively. The period of contractual appointment is extendable for up to 05 years. However, the initial probation period is for a duration of one year.
Candidates must have a PhD qualification with a first-class preceding degree in an appropriate branch in order to apply for the post of Assistant Professor Grade I. 03 years of post-qualification experience in a relevant field is also required to apply for the post. Those who wish to apply for the post of Assistant Professor Grade II, the minimum qualification required is a PhD and first-class preceding degree in the relevant field. Indian nationals and overseas citizens of India (OCIs) are eligible to apply. Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) and Foreign nationals are also eligible to apply for the recruitment.

One must not forget to upload the necessary enclosures with the online application form. However, there is no need to send any hard copy of the application form to the authorities.
