Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Udaipur, has today, November 26, 2021, released the cut-off marks for the MBA admission process 2022 two days ahead of the CAT 2021 examination. The Common Admission Test (CAT) is all set to be held through the computer-based format at selected centres across the country. Candidates can take a look at these cut-offs and aim for the same in their exams.
Of course, scoring more than the cut-offs is always an advantage. But these cut-offs are a ballpark figure which any candidate needs to achieve admission at IIM Udaipur, one of the sought-after MBA institutes in the country.
IIM Udaipur has published the list of category-wise cut-offs on the official website, iimu.ac.in. The table of cut-offs specifies the minimum marks that each candidate needs to score in individual subjects and overall, in accordance with their category. Candidates can take note of the subject-wise cut-offs and try to score the same in the MBA entrance exam.
Additionally, after solving around 50-60 CAT 2021 mock tests, candidates get an idea about their score range. So, even before giving the exam, candidates can determine their chances of getting into IIM Udaipur. Moreover, it also provides a rough estimate of the cut-offs for other prestigious IIMs, like the ones located in Ahmedabad, Delhi, Calcutta, and Bengaluru. Following is a table summarising the subject-wise and category-wise cut-offs:

As all candidates must now be aware of, the CAT 2021 exam comprises of three subject sections, namely Quantitative Aptitude (QA), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Verbal & Reading Comprehension (VARC). In the case of the General category, candidates need to score a minimum of 70 percentile marks in each individual subject. Additionally, they must secure an overall percentile of 93 or above to be eligible for admissions.
It is apparent from the quick analysis of the cutoffs that the candidates need to score equally well in all three subjects of CAT 2021. In case they score well overall or in 1-2 subjects, they will not be eligible for admission. Simply on the grounds of poor score in the third subject. hence, neglecting one subject and prioritizing the remaining two is not an option in the entrance exam.
As evident in the IIM Udaipur CAT 2021 cut-off table, some amount of relaxation has been provided to reserved categories such as EwS, NC-OBC, SC, ST, and DAP. However, the clause of scoring well in all subjects equally is applicable for all categories.
