The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) released the application form IGNOU B.Sc Nursing (Post Basic) on March 23, 2022. The last date to fill out the application form has now been extended to April 24, 2022, the university announced in a tweet. Along with BSc Nursing (Post Basic), the university also extended the last date for B.Ed. Candidates willing to apply can do so online at the official website of IGNOU, ignou.ac.in. Candidates can fill out the application form through the student portal of the official website. The admission will be made once a year for in-service nurses. The applications should be submitted in the prescribed form (OPENNET-X) through an online portal.
How to Fill the IGNOU B.Sc Nursing (Post Basic) Application Form 2022?
To fill the IGNOU here are the complete steps that have to be followed by the applicants:
Step 1: Open the web browser and type – ignou.ac.in
Step 2: Candidates land on the homepage of the official website. Here candidates have to register themselves first.
Step 3: To register applicants have to enter Username and Password. (The username and password should be of 8-16 characters)
Step 4: Click on the “Submit” tab and the username and password shall be initiated via SMS/e-mail.
Step 5: Applicants have to log in to the account to fill in the mandatory details and upload the mandatory documents.
Step 6: After doing so candidates have to proceed to pay the requisite fee using Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking.
Step 7: Candidates have to take the printouts of the application form which have to be submitted along with the hard copies of the original documents/certificates at the time of the admission. Eligibility Criteria
In-service nurses having 10+2 with three years of Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) with a minimum of two years of experience (after registration as RNRM) in the profession, can apply for the entrance exam.
The minimum duration of the programme is three years. However, the students are given a maximum period of five years to complete the programme from the date of registration after which the students have to apply for Readmission paying the applicable fee for each incomplete course of theory and practical components.
