ICMR National Institute for Research in Tuberculosis has advertised 61 contractual vacancies for various posts such as Project Technical Officer, Project Assistant, Data Entry Operator, MTS and others. The vacancies are to be filled up by appointing eligible candidates selected through Walk-In-Written Test/Interview. A detailed advertisement is published in this regard at the official website i.e. nirt.res.in. Eligible and intending candidates are encouraged to go through the advertisement carefully and appear in the selection test/interview after ensuring compliance with minimum eligibility criterion. The tests/interviews will be held on separate days for various posts on September 26, 28, 29 and October 05, 2020.
The date of interview/written test for selection of candidates against each advertised post is indicated in the advertisement. Candidates intending for recruitment to the concerned post must check the date of the test as per post, languages expected to be known and working/posting area from the official notification available through the detailed advertisement.
All of the advertised vacancies are under the project titled “National Survey for the state-wise prevalence of Pulmonary Tuberculosis in India”. There are 3 vacancies each for the posts of Project Technical Officer (Senior Investigator/Senior Technical Assistant/Medical Social Worker). 5 vacancies are available for the post of Project Assistant (Field Investigator) while 13 vacancies are available for the post of Project Technician III (Laboratory Technician). 3 vacancies are also available for the post of Project Technician III (X-Ray Technician) while 2 vacancies are available for the post of Data Entry Operator (Grade B). In addition, 14 vacancies are available for the post of Project Technician II (Health Assistant), 2 for the post of Project Technician II (Laboratory Assistant), 3 for the post of Multi Tasking Staff (Helper) and 1 for the post of Multi Tasking Staff (Sweeper). 9 vacancies are also available for the post of Project Technician III (Laboratory Technician) (For IRL).
The detailed information about individual posts including the consolidated monthly salary that appointed candidates are entitled to receive, daily allowance on tour per day as per ICMR norms are indicated in the official advertisement. In addition, the upper age limit of applicants and other minimum eligibility criteria in terms of qualification and experience is also indicated in the detailed advertisement. Candidates must ensure that they read the advertisement carefully and fulfil the specified minimum eligibility conditions before applying for the recruitment.
It must be noted that the initial appointment is for a period of 6 months only which can be extended till the completion of the project. Thereafter, appointed candidates cannot claim for permanent employment. Interested candidates must report to the interview venue from 09.00 AM to 10.00 AM. The interview/written test will commence from 11.00 AM. There are no provisions for payment of TA/DA to candidates attending the interviews/written test.

Candidates have to appear at the interview with 2 copies of updated Bio Data in the prescribed proforma along with original documents and their photocopies.
