ICMR- National Institute of Cancer Prevention and Research, in its recent notification, has announced the recruitment process for Research Associate and Project Technical Officer. Only three vacancies are available for the said posts. Walk-in-interview will be conducted on September 14, 2020, to shortlist candidates for these posts. The posts of Research Associate and Project Technical Officer is announced under the project titled “Mental health and social stigma among healthcare personnel involved in the management of COVID-19 patients in India”. Announced post of Research Associate is available for General category and Project Technical Officer for SC and OBC category only. Candidates who get selected under these posts are posted at NICPR, Noida as per the requirement of the project.
Before aspirants appear for the interview, they have to meet the eligibility criteria prescribed by the conducting body. To apply for Research Associate, PhD in Social Sciences/ Community Health/ Population Studies/ Public Health/ Social Work/ Anthropology/ Sociology/ Behavioural Sciences/ Psychology/ Health Psychology is required. Candidates who have 03 years of research, teaching, design and development experience with Masters in Community health/ Public Health/ Population Studies/ Sustainable Development Practice/ Social Work/ Anthropology/ Sociology/ Behavioural Sciences/ Psychology/ Health Psychology can also apply for this post.
To apply for a Project Technical Officer, candidates should possess Graduation in Social Work/ Anthropology/ Sociology/ Behavioural Sciences with a minimum of 05 years of research. Those who have Master’s degree in Community Health/ Sustainable Development/ Public Health/ Population Studies/ Social Work/ Anthropology/ Sociology/ Behavioural Sciences/ Psychology/ Health Psychology/ Counselling Psychology can also apply for this post.
Candidates also have to ensure that they satisfy the age limit as prescribed by ICMR- NICPR. The maximum age limit of candidates for Research Associate is 40 years for Project Technical Officer is 30 years.
As per the notification, candidates are not required to send applications through offline or online mode. They have to carry the filled in application form with them to the interview round. The form can be download from the website nicpr.icmr.org.in. Applicants should write project and post on the application form. Along with the form carry some additional document such as the age proof, educational qualification mark sheets and certificates, work experience proof, identity proof (aadhar card, PAN card, passport driving license or any other government approved ID), caste certificate, etc. Documents and the form are scrutinized on the day of the interview.
