ICAI Postpones CMA 2018 Exam in Two Centers; New Exam Date to be Out Soon

The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) has notified at its official website that the CMA examination which was scheduled to be held on December 17, 2018, has been postponed. However, the examination has been postponed for only two exam centers which are Rajahmundry and Vishakhapatnam. 

The ICAI has postponed the CMA examination in these two centers, due to cyclonic storm Phethai. A rescheduled exam date is yet to be announced by the Institute. 

The authorities have not made it clear if the candidates whose exam has been postponed will be issued a new admit card or not. However, if the candidates are to be issued a fresh Admit Card for the CMA examination, in that case, they need to download it by online mode only, from the website, icmai.in. No printed admit card is sent to the candidates by post. 

On the day of the examination, the candidates have to carry the printed copy of their Admit Card. Hence, to download it, visit the official website of ICAI. On the homepage of the website, click on the “Students” tab. On clicking this tab, a new page will open in which you will have to click on another tab for “Examination“. Now, click on the “Admit Card” link which is given in the left corner of the page. 

On clicking the Admit Card link, a new page will open on the screen. The candidates will have to choose the course for which they need to download their admit card for from the drop-down menu. next, provide their Registration Number and click on the “Print Admit Card” button to submit the details. On submitting the correct details, your admit card for ICAI CMA 2018 will appear on the screen. 

On the day of the examination, along with the Admit Card, the candidates also need to carry a Identity card, which can also be downloaded from the ICAI official website. 

ICMAI is the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, which was previously known as the Institute of Cost and Work Accountants of India (ICWAI). The ICMAI conducts the entrance exam for Inter/ Final/ Foundation Examination. The Institute conducts the exam twice a year in the month of June and December. Those who qualify the exam will be the member of Institutes of Cost Accountants of India in the designation ACMA (Associate Cost and Management Accountant) and FCMA (Fellow Cost and Management Accountant), as applicable based on their type of membership of the Institute.
