Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has published the official notification for IBPS PO 2020. Candidates can visit the IBPS website (ibps.in) to download the official notification. This year, IBPS has announced 1167 vacancies under various participating organizations. The Preliminary examination for IBPS PO 2020 is scheduled to be held in October 2020 followed by mains examination in November 2020. The application process for IBPS CRP PO/ MT-X commences today, August 05, 2020. Eligible candidates can submit their online IBPS PO application form before August 26, 2020.
Candidates intending to apply for IBPS PO 2020 should have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university. They must possess a valid marks sheet/ degree certificate to indicate the percentage of marks while registering. Aspirants must have completed 20 years of age as on August 01, 2020. The upper age limit for IBPS PO recruitment is 30 years. However, the upper age limit is relaxable for reserved category candidates.
Before candidates fill the application form, they have to visit the IBPS official website and register themselves. IBPS has also indicated the prerequisites for applying online. This includes a scanned image of photograph, the signature of candidates, left-hand thumb impression, a handwritten declaration, details/documents for online payment, and a valid personal email ID. While applying, candidates have to make an online payment of Rs. 850/-. However, SC/ ST/ PWBD candidates have to pay Rs. 175/- as the application fee. The fee can be submitted through Debit Cards (RuPay/ Visa/ MasterCard/ Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets.
Each year, IBPS conducts a pre-examination training for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes/ Minority Communities. The PET is arranged by the Nodal banks/ participating organizations. However, due to COVID-19 outbreak and acknowledging the social distancing norms, the PET may not held this year. If pre-exam training happens, it will be conducted at certain centres across the country.
The selection procedure for IBPS PO exam 2020 includes the preliminary, mains and interview round. After the PET, IBPS conducts the preliminary examination as a CBT exam. IBPS PO Prelims exam is conducted for 01 hours. Candidates have to answers 100 MCQ questions that carry 100 marks. Qualifying the prelims exam allows candidates to appear for IBPS PO Mains Exam. The mains examination is conducted for 03 hours followed by an English Language test for 30 minutes. Aspirants can check the scheme of examination, topics of tests and other related information through the official notification. Candidates must qualify the mains and the interview round to get placed higher in the merit and get shortlisted.
