Fertilizers and Chemicals Travancore Limited is inviting applications for the recruitment of retired employees of the company to the posts of Technician (Process) and Craftsman Fitter (Mechanical). FACT has published an official recruitment notice in this regard at the website fact.co.in. Eligible superannuated employees of the organisation are being invited to apply for engagement as Technical hands in the aforementioned positions on a contractual basis. Application scan be submitted along with specified documents to the Deputy General Manager on or before August 10, 2020.
As per the recruitment notice, the vacancies are available for the posts of Technician (Process) and Craftsman Fitter (Mechanical) for the operation of Ammonia Barge at Udyogmandal, Ambalamedu and Willington Island at Kochi. The selection of the eligible applicants is to be done on the basis of written test/practical test for which, selected applicants have to report on the specified venue with originals of self-attested documents submitted with the application form. The employment is on a contractual basis for a period of 06 months only. Technicians are to be paid Rs 8500 consolidated monthly salary on in addition to Trip Allowance of Rs 850 per trip and food allowance of Rs 150 per working day. On the other hand, Craftsman is to be paid a consolidated monthly salary of Rs 6500 in addition to a trip allowance of Rs 650 per trip and food allowance of Rs 150 per working day.
Only retired FACT employees are eligible to apply for the aforementioned vacancies. Candidates who have a Graduate degree in Chemistry or Diploma in Chemical Engineering are eligible to apply for the post of Technician. Such applicants must have retired at the wage group 16400-40500 (E1) or above and have adequate exposure to the operational process of hazardous chemicals preferably Ammonia. On the other hand, candidates having a ITI (Fitter) Mechanical certification who have retired in the wage group XIV (Rs 8650-3%-27300) or above and having sufficient exposure to the maintenance of hazardous chemicals preferably Ammonia are eligible to apply for the post of Craftsman. The maximum permissible age of the applicants as on July 01, 2020 is 61 years.
