Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has taken the decision to commence the computer based test for screening of the applicants for various recruitments from May 01, 2019 onwards. The press notice regarding the computer based test has been released at the official website i.e. hppsc.hp.gov.in. In order to expedite the recruitment process and for taking the benefits of information technology (IT) the HPPSC has taken the decision of organizing the screening test through online mode.
The introduction of CBT has helped in reducing the time schedule of screening test and declaration of result by about 3 months. In present, the commission has the capacity of conducting the computer-based screening test for 1300 applicants in one session. The recruitment process is slow and inadequate so, the commission has decided to embrace the practices undertaken by various other recruitment agencies to meet out the shortfall. For meeting up the short fall of the infrastructure commission has decided to conduct the same screening examination in multiple session with different question papers.
The same examination will be conducted in a single slot with the same question paper and in different slots with a different set of question papers. On the basis of the total number of candidates appearing for the examination and the number of computer terminals available under the commission at a particular test date, the different sets of question papers will depend.
Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has released the various recruitment notification for various posts namely; professor, assistant engineer, scientific officer, computer operator, clerk, Block Development Officers, Administrative Service and many more. The recently released recruitment advertisement number are 01/2019, 02/2019, 03/2019, 04/2019, etc. The selection of the candidates is generally done on the basis of screening examination, phase II examination, and personality test. The candidates are appointed for the applied post on the basis of the overall performance of the applicants in the various stages of examination.
