HCL Technologies has launched a unique and interesting opportunity for class 12 passed / appearing students, that will help them kickstart their career, without compromising on higher education. Introducing, HCL Techbee 2021.
The subsidiary of HCL Enterprises has begun the registration process for the early career program called “TechBee”. The program is centred around the idea that students can get full-time job opportunities after Class 12. This is against the common perception that a basic college degree is required to receive such opportunities. The TechBee program is a hybrid program focusing on two aspects of students – 1. Overall Education and 2. Personality Grooming. Under this program, candidates shall undergo 12 months of training to be deemed fit for entry-level IT Services and Associate Job roles. After successfully completing the program, candidates shall get full-time work opportunities at HCL itself.
While working at HCL, candidates shall also be permitted to pursue higher education at prestigious institutes like BITS Pilani or SASTRA University. During the internship phase, students will receive a stipend of Rs.10,000 and thereafter, start earning a salary of 1.70 – 2.20 lakhs per annum. This salary structure shall come into picture after getting hired by HCL.
TechBee program was initially launched in 2016 and has since then, spread across various locations. These include Noida, Lucknow, Madurai, Chennai, Nagpur, Bengaluru, Vijayawada and Hyderabad. As of now, approximately 3000 students have benefitted from the program. By completing this program, students have taken up entry-level roles such as Software Engineer, Infrastructure Management, Design or Testing Engineer, Digital Process Operations, etc at HCL Technologies across various location in India.
Once a candidate gets hired by the multinational company, he/she shall receive a plethora of benefits. Interested candidates who have passed standard 12 can apply for this 12-month training program, after checking the educational and other requisites. Students must have completed their Class 12 education in 2020 or will complete the same in 2021. They must have Mathematics or Business Mathematics as one of the subjects in Class 12. Lastly, they must fulfil the percentage requirements of their respective state or central board to be deemed eligible. For Associates, students must have scored 60% or above in Class 12. However, in case of IT Services, the percentage requirements depend on the board to which the candidate belongs.
They must first register on the official website hcltechbee.com and fill the application form. Thereafter, they must appear for the HCL Common Aptitude Test (CAT). The questions asked in this test will cover topics like Quantitative Ability, Logical Reasoning and Language Ability. Candidates who qualify for the HCL CAT examination will have to appear for the interview round. The interview round shall take place in a face-to-face manner with the HCL recruitment team. Based on the student’s overall performance, they shall get selected to pursue this career program.
