The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) has announced that the board shall declare GSEB HSC result 2021 for the science stream today, on July 17, 2021, at 8 AM today. The results will be available on the official website gseb.org.
GSEB will declare only Gujarat board 12th science result 2021 today
GSEB first released a notification to this effect, and shortly thereafter, the website was updated to reflect the upcoming result status. The website also states that only the Science stream results will be declared today.
When will GSEB Arts and Commerce results be announced?
As per the previous trends of the Board, the results for General (Arts and Commerce) stream are announced around a month after the Science stream. Hence, by that logic, the HSC arts and commerce results should be out in mid-August. However, as per court orders, the class 12 results of all state boards should be out by July 31, 2021. Also, as per media reports, the general stream results will be out next week.
Nevertheless, candidates must keep an eye on the official website to follow, in case the general stream results too get announced today.
GSEB HSC result 2021 will be released online for schools
This year, only the schools will be able to download the results for the students. Note that the results will be issued by GSEB on gseb.org, and result.gseb.org only, and not any other unauthorized site.
Schools will have to use their unique index numbers and passwords to get access to the results. To check the results, the school authorities must visit the official website at gseb.org and click on the provided result link. Use their login credentials, they can check the results.
Students will have to get their results from the respective schools. The schools shall be responsible for the hand over of result and scorecards to the students. The students will have to visit their respective schools to collect their results.
GSEB HSC result 2021 assessment criteria and grading system
As far as the evaluation criteria is concerned, 50% weightage will be given to the Class 10 Board marks, 25% on Class 11 marks and 25% again for the internals that were conducted during Class 12. As per the rules decided by the Board, a student having a minimum ‘D’ grade in all the subjects will be considered qualified for the forthcoming stage. The students belonging to the PWD category must score 20% marks to be qualified.
However, students whose grades will remain as low as ‘E1’ or ‘E2’ will have to sit for the GSEB supplementary exams. Dates for applying for the GSEB supplementary exam or purak pariksha will be declared after the announcement of the Board’s Class 12 results for all streams.
Although the Gujarat 12th State Board exams were supposed to be conducted between July 1 to July 16, they had to be cancelled due to the prevailing Covid-19 situations. This year, around 1.40 lakh students from the Science stream and 5.43 lakh students from the Arts and Commerce streams had enrolled for the class 12 board exams.
Last year, the pass percentage of the females saw a drop from 72.01% to 70.85%. Similarly, there was a marginal drop in the pass percentage of the males from 71.83% to 71.69%. Nonetheless, the English-medium schools showed 74.02% in terms of the pass percentage while the Gujrati-medium schools’ percentage stood at 70.77%. The overall pass percentage for the Science stream results in 2020 was 71.34 while that for 2019 is 71.9.
