GATE 2021 Result, Toppers, Cut Offs – A Complete Analysis of The Result

Indian Institute of Bombay has set the highest cut-offs in GATE 2021 paper code PE at 51.40 marks out of 100. The paper has been topped by AyushKumar SatishKumar Patel.

Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay declared the GATE 2021 result yesterday. The exam has been topped by candidates Niladri Pahari (AE), Uddesh Sahu (AG), Shubham Gupta (AR) and others who have secured a GATE score of 1000 in this exam. The highest cut off this year has been set for paper code PE at 51.40 marks out of 100. On the other hand, the lowest cut off this year has been set for paper codes AG, BM, EC and ST at 25.00 marks out of 100. IIT Bombay has published the paper wise cut off list for all of the 27 paper codes.

GATE 2021 was conducted on February 06, 07, 13 & 14, 2021 by the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay this year. Based on the GATE score, qualifying candidates will be able to get admission to Master degree programs in Engineering in all major Universities of the country. It is a national level examination. Some PSUs even conduct recruitment of technical manpower on the basis of GATE score. Now that the results have been declared and the paper-wise cut-offs released, only those candidates whose marks are equal to or more than the specified cut-off will be considered as the qualifiers.

A total of 7,11,542 candidates appeared in this year’s Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). In the Geophysics paper, 29.54% have qualified out of the 826 candidates who appeared for the exam of this paper. Besides, this is the highest percentage of candidates qualifying in a particular paper of GATE 2021. On the other hand, the lowest percentage of candidates qualifying in a particular paper is 8.42% out of 1199 candidates who appeared for the exam for the paper code ST.

GATE 2021 cut-offs have been specified separately for each of the different papers. The average cut off for all the GATE 2021 papers this year is set at 34.9 marks out of 100 with the highest & lowest standard deviations of 20.20 & 8.66 in paper codes PE & ST respectively. IIT Bombay has also indicated the highest marks out of 100 & average marks out of 100 for each paper code separately.
