Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay has released the answer key for the Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE) 2021 examination today i.e., February 27, 2021. Candidates can access the answer key on the official website of the examination i.e., gate.iitb.ac.in. They can directly access the answer key without any need to login. IIT-Bombay has also given the provision to candidates for challenging the answer keys from March 2 to 4, 2021. As per the reports, the final answer keys shall be released around March 18, 2021.
GATE 2021 examination was conducted in twelve sessions on February 05, 06, 07, 12, 13 and 14, 2021. Authorities have released the provisional answer keys for the exam on the official website gate.iitb.ac.in. Candidates have the facility to challenge the answer key from March 02 to 04, 2021. For doing so, they must provide a detailed description and proof by paying the correction fee of Rs.500 for each challenge. Candidates must use the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) and candidate login credentials to raise a challenge.
Candidates are required to follow certain norms while challenging the answer key. Firstly, they must remember to mention the question number and answer key or range of the published paper on the website. They must not follow the sequence of questions mentioned in their response sheet. These details are to be entered in the GOAPS challenge portal.
Aspirants are also advised to check the GATE 2021 answer key simultaneously along with their individual response sheet. They must follow this step carefully before deciding to challenge the answer key. Moreover, candidates must note that the sequence of questions may be different from the ones displayed in their response sheet. Moreover, for each question, the sequence of answer keys for both MCQs and MSQs may have certain differences in their sequence.
Authorities shall review all challenges provided by candidates in the GATE 2021 answer key. In case any challenge is accepted by the reviewing committee, a full refund shall be provided to the corresponding candidate who raised the challenge. The refund shall be made after publishing the final answer keys on the official website. However, no refund shall be made to candidates whose challenges have not been accepted by the committee.
GATE is a national-level examination conducted every year for candidates who wish to pursue postgraduate courses in the fields of engineering, architecture and technology. By qualifying for this exam, the candidate can seek admission to prestigious institutes across the country. This year, the examination was conducted in the month of February 2021.
