GATE 2021 City Correction Ends, Schedule Out; Admit Card to Release on 8 January

The GOAPS portal to edit GATE 2021 Exam City centre is now closed. GATE 2021 is scheduled to take place from February 05 to 12, 2020 periodically for which the admit card will be out on January 08, 2021.

Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay has successfully concluded the GATE 2021 City correction process yesterday. Those who have registered themselves for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) were asked given a chance to change exam city. Candidates who wanted to change the choice of exam city/ centre were provided with the last opportunity to alter the exam city online at gate.iitb.ac.in. Last date for GATE 2021 Exam City Choice Correction was December 15, 2020.

Earlier, IIT Bombay organized the edit window for the category, paper, exam city from October 28, 2020, to November 13, 2020. However, the conducting body of the GATE decided to reopen the window and allow the candidates to edit the city of examination. A short notification was also released online in this regard on December 14, 2020. Applicants were allowed to make changes in their choice of examination cities through GOAPS portal. Applicants who have successfully registered themselves for GATE 2021 were asked to login using their credentials to change the city. The GATE 2021 Exam City Correction window was open only for two days – Dec 14 and Dec 15, 2020.

IIT Bombay, the conducting body of GATE Exam, provided the facility to edit the choice of exam city FREE of cost. As per the notice “Last and Final Chance to Change Choice of Examination city (for Successfully Registered Candidates only) in GOAPS portal by 15.12.2020 at FREE of Cost”.

Moreover, GATE 2021 exam schedule is also out. As per the “GATE 2021 Highlights” available on the website, the exam will take place on February 05, 06, 07, 11, 12, 13 and 14, 2021. There will be two sessions each day to get the exam successfully conducted by following the COVID-19 guidelines. Out of the complete exam schedule, IIT Bombay will be conducting miscellaneous activities on February 5, 2021, and February 12, 2021. Also, the paper wise GATE 2021 Exam dates is out online.

Call letters for the GATE 2021 will be out on January 08, 2021. Applicants can download it from the official website, gate.iitb.ac.in. Before candidates proceed to download the GATE 2021 admit card, they must have enrollment ID or email ID and password to login. Thereafter, they can visit the official website and click on the GATE 2021 hall ticket download link.

Once done, take a print out of the GATE admit card on a clear A4 size paper and carry it to the exam centre. Along with the admit card, aspirants also have to carry one valid photo ID proof to the centre for verification. It can be any one of the following -Aadhaar-UID, College ID, Driving License, Employee ID, Passport, PAN card and Voter card. International candidates have to carry any one of the following – Passport, Government issued ID, College ID or Employee ID.
