GATE 2019 Admit Card Released; Check Here Important Exam Day Instructions

IIT Madras has released the GATE 2019 Admit Card at appsgate.iitm.ac.in. The candidates can now visit the GOAPS portal and access their GATE Admit Card. However, to access the portal candidates need their GATE enrollment ID/email ID and password. The GATE 2019 Admit Card can be easily accessed by entering the GATE 2019 Login details. After filling all the details correctly, the candidates can check the soft copy of their admit card.

GATE 2019 Admit Card Available

Once the admit card appears on the screen, the candidates need to save the same on their respective devices. Coloured or Black and White printout is to be then taken of the GATE 2019 Admit Card. Only the hard copy is acceptable at the GATE 2019 Exam centers, no soft copy will be considered valid while entering the exam centers.

The GATE 2019 Admit card has some important details mentioned on it. All the instructions have to be followed by candidates on the exam day. The admit card contains details of exam center name and address, GATE paper name, registration number, candidate’s photo, and signature, and other important exam related instructions.

Along with the GATE 2019 Admit Card, candidates have to carry a valid photo ID proof, any one of Passport, Pan card, Voter Id, Aadhaar card, College Id, Employee Id, or Driving License. The ID proof is to be carried in Original only. No scanned or photocopy will be accepted at the exam centers.

The GATE 2019 Exam Schedule

The GATE 2019 exam will conduct in 4 days and in 8 sessions. The GATE 2019 Exam Date is February 02 and 03, 2019 and February 09 and 10, 2019. There will be 24 papers for which the GATE 2019 exam will take place in online mode. Out of all the 24 papers, 2 papers will be held in multiple session: Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. Apart from this, all other papers will conduct in a single session only.

GATE 2019 Important Instructions

Now, candidates have to note that the GATE 2019 admit card will be only valid if the photo and signature on the printed copy are clear and crisp. Thus, take a print on a clean A4 sized sheet. Candidates have to report at the exam center at least 1 hour before the exam start time.

Any sort of personal belongings like calculator, watches, electronic gadgets, bags, mobile phones etc are not allowed inside the exam hall. candidates need to keep them outside the exam hall at their own personal risk.

No candidates will be allowed in after the exam starts as per the schedule exam time. During the exam, a virtual scientific calculator will be available on the computer screen, candidates can only use it to solve the problems.

Scribble pads will be made available inside the exam centers for rough works, thus candidates need not worry about carrying any extra sheet inside.

The GATE 2019 Exam is conducted for admission in M.Tech / M.Sc. / M.Arch / M.Plan / Ph.D courses, offered by IITs. GATE 2019 scores are also used by the PSUs for recruitment purposes.
