Fake JEE Main 2019 Result Link Causes Confusion Among Students

Fake JEE Main 2019 Result

National Testing Agency (NTA) can announce JEE Main 2019 Result anytime soon. Every second a new news on JEE Main result time and date update is keeping candidates at their toes. Adding to the situation, a fake link circulated on social media platform raised candidates heartbeat. The link has been shared on numerous WhatsApp groups and tricked candidates into thinking that it is an actual JEE Main 2019 Result link.

The fake link for JEE Main 2019 Result started circulated last night. With the URL and user interface similar to that of the official website the page demanded candidates to enter application number, candidate name, mobile number, and state of domicile.

JEE Main 2019 Fake Result

A phishing website is a fake webpage, the sole purpose of which is to steal password and data of the user. It tricks user in believing that the website is authentic. One can easily identify it from the URL, which is always similar to official but never the same.

Despite the look and similar URL, the candidates were smart enough to release that the webpage for was fake and was just a phishing website. To download JEE Main 2019 Result from the official website, the candidates need to enter application form and date of birth / password. Other than this, the official login never demands candidates to enter mobile number.

NTA will only announce JEE Main 2019 result at jeemain.nic.in. Result will be announced via the official login. This time, the candidates will also get to see their All India Rank (AIR) in the result. The AIR will be announced for all the candidates who appeared for the exam in January and April. Candidates who appeared for both the exam will be allocated on the basis of best of the two Percentile score.

Apart from the rank, the candidates qualified for JEE Advanced 2019 will also be disclosed through the JEE Main 2019 Result. The result will contain the cut off of the candidates in the examination, on the basis of which more than 2.4 lakh candidates will be termed qualified to appear for JEE Advanced 2019.

JEE Advanced 2019 is being conducted by IIT Roorkee. The registration for JEE Advanced 2019 will open on May 03, 2019. The last date to apply is May 09, 2019, and the examination will be held on May 27, 2019. The exam will be held on online mode and Paper 1 and 2 of it will be of 3 hours, each. All the questions in the exam will be of multiple choice type and will be asked from Physics, Chemistry, and Maths.
