Every year, officials are said to release the KCET answer key within a week of having conducted the exam in offline mode. Prior to the release of official KCET 2019 answer key, a candidate can consult the answer keys released by unofficial sources.Two of the reputed coaching institutes, Base and Expert Classes have released their version of the KCET answer key on their respective official websites.
These unofficial KCET answer keys were released a few hours after the exam was conducted on April 29 & 30, 2019 (for Biology and Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry). Coaching institutes like Resonance, Boscoss and BYJU’s are yet to release their version of the KCET 2019 answer keys. They prepare this answer key on the basis of the question papers submitted to them by some candidates.
Further, Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) releases the KCET 2019 Answer key on its official website, kea.kar.nic.in. In case of the official KCET 2019 answer key, a candidate visit this website. Look for the relevant answer key link over the main page. Click on the question version either A, B, C, D, E. F, G, and H to download the same and start crosschecking. The purpose of releasing answer keys is that a candidate can estimate their chances of qualifying for the exam, way before the result declaration date.
But, before estimating your KCET scores, a candidate needs to make sure the following things. Whether a candidate has the question paper set, he/she had appeared for, the answer key and the marking scheme. Now, to calculate the scores, a candidate needs to mark him/herself +1 for every correct answer. As no negative marking scheme is applicable, so there is no marks deduction. Calculate the total scores by summing up all the individual correct answer scores.
Candidates must note that, the exam conducting body releases the KCET 2019 answer key, twice. Once, the provisional answer key and other, the final answer key. If a candidate is not satisfied with any of the responses mentioned over the answer key, he/she can challenge the same.
Such challenges/ objections needs to be submitted in a specific format and in stipulated time period. An objection needs to be submitted to the “Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore” either in person or by speed post or by dropping an email at keauthority-ka@nic.in.
A proper justification needs to be submitted along with the objection raised will only be considered for further scrutiny. The authority considers all the challenges received and releases the final KCET 2019 answer key, incorporating all the corrections. This final KCET 2019 answer key cannot be challenged further. Once the final answer keys are released, KEA announces the KCET 2019 Result on its official website, kea.kar.nic.in. Tentatively, the result is scheduled to be announced by the first week of June 2019.
