JEE Main 2019 AIR Prepared on Best of Jan & Apr Percentile Score

More than 9 lakh candidates are eagerly waiting for JEE Main 2019 Result since morning. National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to announce it today or tomorrow, on April 30, 2019. JEE Main 2019 April Result 2019 is more important than the January result for the students because JEE Main 2019 All India Rank (AIR) will be announced now for the first time.

The AIR of JEE Main 2019 is prepared on the basis of normalized percentile score, also known as the NTA score. For most of the candidates, the AIR will be simply calculated on the basis of the Percentile Score in the exam. However, candidates who appeared for both, JEE Main January and JEE Main April 2019 attempt, are a bit confused. For such candidates, NTA will prepare All India Rank on the basis the best of both the attempt percentile score.

This means that if a candidate got 99.2102271 percentile score in JEE Main January and 99.2102356 in JEE Main April 2019, then the score of April exam will be used for preparing the AIR because it is better than the Jan percentile score.

If while preparing JEE Main 2019 AIR, there is a tie between two or more candidates, then the tie-breaking method is used. The preference is given to a candidate who scores the highest marks in the Mathematics section. If there is still a tie, then the marks in Physics and further in Chemistry will be considered. If the tie still persists then a candidate older in age is given preference. If a decision is still impending, then two students will be given the same rank.

The percentile score of JEE Main are the normalized marks of the candidates, denoting the number of candidates who score more or less than the candidate in a particular session. Hence, if the percentile score of the candidates is 7 and in total 10 candidates appear for the exam. Then, there are 3 candidates who less than the candidate and there are 6 candidates who scored more than the candidates.

NTA will only announce JEE Main 2019 result at jeemain.nic.in. There are fake websites, trying to lure candidates into entering their personal information. To check the result from the correct website, the candidates need to visit jeemain.nic.in. Then, the candidates need to click on the “JEE Main Paper 1 Result” button. In the next screen, candidates have to log in by entering their Application Number and Password or Date of Birth. Click on the “Login” button to submit the details. On submitting the login details, students will be able to check their result in the next screen. Finally, download and take a print out of the JEE Main April 2019 Result.

Top 2,45,000 JEE Main 2019 AIR Holder will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2019. The registration for JEE Advanced 2019 starts from May 03, 2019, at jeeadv.ac.in. The entrance exam is scheduled to be held on May 27, 2019.
