Delhi University has released the notice for DU Admission 2018. Candidates all over India now have thousands of questions regarding the admission, registration, DU cutoff, curriculum, eligibility, etc. Hence, to alleviate these agog minds the University has decided to keep an Open Days Session.
DU Open Day Session will be held from May 21 to 29, 2018. It will be done in two sessions, which will be from 10:00 am to 11:30 am and 12:00 noon to 01:30 pm. The purpose of the open day session is to provide candidates an opportunity get all their doubts about the DU admission and University cleared out. During this 01 hours and 30 minutes session, the students will be shown a presentation, after which the University experts will take all their queries.
The University of Delhi has also released notification for DU Admission 2018. The registration will begin from May 15, 2018, for Undergraduate courses. The Post Graduation aspirants will be able to apply from May 18, 2018. Whereas, the candidates aiming to study M.Phil / Ph.D from DU will get to apply from May 20, 2018.
The registration will open online, at http://www.du.ac.in. In order to apply for the examination, the candidates will have to login and then fill the required details. The application fee for DU admission, last year, was Rs. 150 for General and OBC category. However, the amount of fee for the SC / ST category candidates for Rs. 75. It is expected that the amount will remain the same this year as well.
The process of admission in the university varies from course to course. For some courses like B.A, Integrated Journalism, etc the University conducts an entrance examination. While for other courses the admission is done on the basis of merit.
Every year, the University determines a cutoff. It the minimum qualifying score needed to get admission through merit based mode. For highly sought colleges like SRCC, Hindu, Lady Sri Ram Rai, etc the cutoff usually goes beyond 97 – 98 percent.
