District Recruitment Bureau, Chennai, is inviting applications for recruitment to the posts of Salesman and Packer. The DRB has advertised a total of 272 posts. The detailed recruitment notification in Tamil can be downloaded from the official website i.e. chndrb.in. Eligible candidates who apply for the recruitment are selected through an interview process. The application form can be obtained from offices specified in the recruitment notice. The last date of receipt of offline applications along with the list of specified documents and proof of fee payment is July 31, 2020. Candidates are advised to go through the advertisement and ensure that they comply with the specified minimum eligibility conditions before proceeding to send their applications.
The total number of vacancies are bifurcated post-wise as well as category-wise. There are 80 vacancies available for the post of Salesman while 192 openings are advertised for the post of Packer. The recruitment bureau has specified the minimum eligibility conditions that must be complied with before applying for the recruitment. In terms of age, all applicants must be at least 18 years of age as on the cut-off date specified in the detailed advertisement. For unreserved candidates, the upper age limit is fixed at 30 years. However, those belonging to specific reserved categories can avail relaxations on the upper age limit as per government norms in vogue.
Candidates who have passed Class 12 are eligible to apply for the post of Salesman. Those who have passed Class 10 are eligible to apply for the post of Packer. In addition, a mandatory eligibility condition is the proficiency to read, write, and speak in the Tamil language. Those who comply with these minimum eligibility conditions can apply for the aforementioned recruitment through the specified application form. Candidates are to be selected through personal interviews. Call letters for appearing in the interview are sent to the postal address provided by the candidates in the application form. The date, time, and exact location of the interview venue are mentioned in the call letter. Those who are shortlisted after the interviews are appointed to the aforementioned posts. Salesmen are entitled to receive monthly compensation in the pay scale of Rs 4300 – 12000. Those who are appointed to the post of Packer are entitled to receive monthly compensation in the pay scale of Rs 3900 – 11000.
The application forms can be obtained from the office of the Additional Registrar, Chennai Regional Office, No. 9, Abiramapuram during normal working hours. Candidates must fill-up the form and enclose all the specified documents with the applications. An application fee of Rs 150 must be paid to apply for the recruitment in the form of Demand Draft. However, specific candidates belonging to specific categories are exempted from the payment of fees. The completed applications along with the necessary enclosures, photo and fee receipt must be sent to the District Recruitment Bureau, Chennai District, Additional Registrar, Madras Regional Office No. 91 on or before the last date.
