The Department of Health and Family, Punjab has released a recruitment notification to fill up 88 vacant posts of House Surgeons. The appointed candidates have to serve a period of six months in the various hospitals of Punjab State. During this period, they receive remuneration of Rs.30,000/- per month. The counselling/interview is scheduled for July 22, 2020, at 10:00 AM. Applicants can know more about the recruitment, eligibility, vacancies and other related information by downloading the notice from the official website, pbhealth.gov.in. Interested candidates have to submit the applications for the post of House Surgeons through the offline process. The last date to submit the applications for announced posts is July 17, 2020.
Candidates who satisfy the prescribed eligibility criteria are selected for the interview round of the House Surgeons recruitment. Those who possess MBBS degree, are registered to Pb. CL, have completed the internship, have a certificate for internship completion, passed 10th class with Punjabi as a subject are eligible to apply for the announced post. They must be in a good state of physical and mental health. The directorate has listed the ‘order of priority’ of the college from where candidates have attained the educational qualification. So, the order is as follow, same state government medical college, other medical colleges within state, the other state medical college, their recognized institutions outside the state. Reservation is applicable as per the Punjab Government Policy.
As said before, the application procedure is conducted offline. Candidates who are interested in the recruitment can download application form from pbhealth.gov.in website. The application form is attached to the official advertisement for the recruitment of House Surgeons. Interested candidates have to send the application form to the Director Health and Family Welfare Punjab, Parivar Kalyan Bhawan, (Room No. 224, First Floor) Sector 34-A, Chandigarh. The application form should be submitted to the specified address with all the testimonials. So, the candidates have to attach internship complete certificate, caste certificate for those who claim for the reservation benefits, educational qualification certificate, and all the other documents as mentioned in the application form. Candidates who wish to work for any second job in the same speciality at Rajindra Hospital, Patiala should send the request of the same with the application form.
The merit list for House Surgeons is prepared based on the interview and scrutiny of the documents. The candidates are appointed based on the priority wise order. In other words, the next applicant in the select list is considered only if the applicant of previous to him/her is unable to join or not found eligible. The appointed candidates have to submit security of Rs.5000/- to the directorate. The selected candidates are not supposed to leave before the completion of the full term of 06 months.
