Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) has released the Degree Online Services Telangana (DOST) 2020 Application form. The last date to apply for the phase 1 of registration process is September 7, 2020. Web options for the application process are applicable till September 8, 2020. The DOST admission process is conducted every year to provide admissions to students in undergraduate courses like B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, B.B.A, B.B.M, etc. This year, the process began on August 24, 2020 and is open till September, 2020.
Students who haven’t yet filled their application forms can do the same now, by following these simple steps. To fill the DOST 2020 application form strong internet connection and a compatible web browser is required. They have to first complete the registration process. Candidates have to go to the official website and click on the ‘pre-registration’ option. They have to fill-in the necessary details like qualifying board, hall ticket number, date of birth, student number and gender. Applicants have to also enter the Aadhaar card number linked to their phone or their parents’ phone number. Entering the OTP shall complete the registration process. Candidates will receive their DOST ID and PIN via their registered mobile numbers. They can sign-in to the website by entering their ID and PIN number.
After the registration process, the next step is to fill the application form. DOST 2020 application form requires filling of personal details, qualification details, academic details and address details. This process also involves uploading the candidate’s signature and photograph as per the specification and then click on “submit”. In the last stage, candidates have to pay the required fee and print-out the confirmation page. The application form can also be filled through offline mode by following one of the two ways – DOST Help centre or T App Mobile App.
This year, two important changes have been made in the mobile app. A feature called ‘T App Folio’ has been introduced by the authorities to avoid human touch. This is for candidates who have passed out from Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (BIE). A WhatsApp chatbot has also been introduced to resolve and queries of candidates. To get a solution, candidates have to type ‘Hi’ and send it to 790100200, through their preferred mobile number. Candidates have to select their query from the menu received. After this process, important messages from the authority will be sent to this number.
TSCHE, Hyderabad offers multiple undergraduate courses to candidates through the online unified system DOST 2020. This process was introduced in Telangana in the year 2015 for helping students in the admission process of Private/Government universities in the state. Every year, more than 2 lakh students are allotted courses and seats through the DOST process.
