Directorate of Health and Family Welfare Services, Karnataka is looking for eligible candidates for the vacant posts of Senior Medical Officer/ Specialist, General Duty Medical Officers and Dental Health Officer. Aspirants can download the official notification that is published in this regard from karunadu.karnataka.gov.in. The conducting body has announced a total of 2815 vacancies for the aforementioned posts. Candidates can apply for this recruitment from September 16, 2020. The last date to submit the online application form is October 15, 2020.
Out of 2815 vacancies, 241 vacancies are for Sr Medical Officer/ Specialist (General Medicine), 89 for Sr Medical Officer/ Specialist (General Surgery), 279 for Sr Medical Officer/ Specialist (Obstetrics & Gynecology), 49 for Sr Medical Officer/ Specialist (ENT), 108 for Sr Medical Officer/ Specialist (Dermatology & Venereal Diseases (Skin), 230 for Sr Medical Officer/ Specialist (Anesthesia), 296 for Sr Medical Officer/ Specialist (Pediatrician), 82 for Sr Medical Officer/ Specialist (Ophthalmology), 31 for Sr Medical Officer/ Specialist (Orthopedics) and 55 for Sr Medical Officer/ Specialist (Radiology). The remaining 1265 vacancies are for GDMO and 90 for Dental Health Officer.
Candidates intending to apply for GDMO post must possess MBBS degree and minimum 06 years of experience. To apply for Dental Health Officer, candidates must have a BDS degree and have a minimum of 06 years experience. Those who have MBBS degree and post-graduation in concerned subjects can apply for Senior Medical officer/ Specialist in General Medicine and General Surgery department. Candidates having MBBS degree, PG degree/ Diploma in relevant discipline can apply for Sr Medical Officer/ Specialist for the rest of the departments.
To apply for the said posts, aspirants also have to make sure that they are within the specified age limit. The age limit for Category 2A, 2B, 3A & 3B candidates is 26 years to 45 years. Those who belong to SC/ ST/ Cat-1 have to ensure that their age is between the age limit of 26 years to 47 years. The lower age limit for General candidates is 26 years and the upper limit is 42 years.
The application form releases on the official website of DHFWS Karnataka, karunadu.karnataka.gov.in. Keep scanned copies of photograph, the signature before registration. On successful registration, an application ID is generated which should be kept safe till the recruitment process.
While submitting online applications, candidates also have to pay a non-refundable fee. Those who belong to Cat-2A/ 2B/ 3A & 3B have to pay Rs. 500/-, Ex-servicemen have to Rs. 100/- and others have to pay Rs. 1000/- as the application fee. However, SC/ ST/ Cat-I/ Physically Handicap candidates are exempted from fee submission. The fee can be submitted only via online procedure.
