Delhi Development Authority is expected to announce the exact dates of conducting the examination to fill up 629 vacancies. DDA released the official notice of recruitment earlier in March 2020. Accordingly, the online application process was conducted and eligible applicants are awaiting the announcement of the exam date. The official recruitment notification along with other corrigendum for extension of application form submission is available at the official website i.e. dda.org.in. However, DDA is yet to announce the exam dates for the recruitment.
As per the notice, there are 02 vacancies for the post of Deputy Director (System), 05 for Deputy Director (Planning). There are 05 vacancies for the post of Assistant Director (Planning) and 02 for the post of Assistant Director (System). 11 vacancies are available for the post of Assistant Accounts Officer while 01 vacancy is reserved for the post of Planning Assistant. There are 48 vacancies for the post of SO (Horticulture). 08 vacancies are available for the post of Architectural Assistant, 11 for the post of Surveyor, 100 for the post of Stenographer Grade D, 44 for the post of Patwari, 292 for the post of Junior Secretariat Assistant and 100 for the post of Mali.
The application process for recruitment to fill-up the aforementioned vacancies has already been concluded and candidates complying with the specified eligibility conditions were allowed to apply for the recruitment. DDA indicated post-wise eligibility conditions such as the age limit of applicants not exceeding 40 years for the posts of Deputy Director & 35 years for the post of Assistant Director (Planning). In addition, the minimum educational qualifications were also specified. The detailed eligibility conditions for each post can be checked from the official notification available on the website of DDA.
Although the window to apply for recruitment to the aforementioned vacancies under DDA was extended in the light of the prevailing COVID-19 situations, the exact date of the exams are yet to be announced by DDA. The selection of eligible candidates is to be done on the basis of the marks obtained in the exam. In addition, post-wise skill tests must also be taken by qualifiers of the written exam in order to secure their names on the final merit lists. For the posts of Deputy Director, Assistant Director and Assistant Accounts, the paper carries 120 marks and consists of 120 objective questions of 1 mark each. Candidates must complete the test within 02 hours. A similar question paper is prepared for selection of candidates who apply for the posts of Planning Assistant, S.O., Architectural Assistant, Surveyor.
Candidates who apply for the post of Stenographer Grade D must take a test of 200 marks in a duration of 02 hours. In addition, they must also pass a Stenography test to be conducted in later stages. The details of the post-wise exam pattern & syllabus can be checked from the official notification. Candidates must secure a minimum of 40% marks in order to qualify. For OBC candidates the maximum marks are 35% while SC/ST candidates must secure at least 30% marks.
