The National Testing Agency(NTA) conducted the CSIR NET Earth Sciences exam today on January 29, 2022 on behalf of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research. The exam was conducted in the second shift from 3.00 p.m to 6.00 p.m.
Soon after the conclusion of the exam several subject experts had released question paper analysis and unofficial answer keys through various Youtube channels. Candidates can use these unofficial answer keys released by various coaching centers to check their tentative scores before the official answer key is released. However it is expected that the NTA will soon release the official answer key and hence the candidates are requested to keep an eye on the official website for regular updates on the same.

CSIR NET Earth Sciences Exam Analysis
According to the candidates who have attended the exam, the Earth Sciences paper of CSIR NET 2022 was of moderate level difficulty. The part A of the exam was a little bit tough, part B was moderate and part C was easy. Only one question was repeated from the previous years’ question papers as per the candidates.
What next?
The official answer key will be released by NTA in a few days. Most probably the answer key will be released between February 19 to March 20, 2022. The answer key will be released on the official website of CSIR NET at csirnet.nta.ac.in.

Once the official answer key is released, the candidates have the option to raise objections against the mistakes in the answer key, if any. The candidates have to pay an amount of ₹ 1000 for each objection they raise. The final answer key will be released by NTA along with results of CSIR NET 2022.
CSIR NET 2022 Earth Sciences Result
The expected cut off marks for the CSIR NET Earth Sciences paper is between 56-64 marks for candidates from unreserved categories. There will be relaxation for the candidates from reserved categories. The candidates scoring the minimum cut off marks will be given the CSIR NET certificate. The CSIR NET qualified candidates are eligible for the award of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) and for determining eligibility for Lectureship (LS)/Assistant Professorship in certain subject areas falling under the faculty of Science & Technology. The result of CSIR NET 2022 is expected to be released by the end of February 2022.
