CSIR- National Environmental Engineering Research Institute, Chennai is looking for eligible candidates for the post of Project Assistant. CSIR- NEERI has announced the recruitment process for 08 vacancies. A virtual interview will be conducted by the local screening committee for the selection of the candidates. Applications for the Project Assistant posts should be submitted on or before the last date August 31, 2020. Candidates can download the official notification from the website, csircmc.res.in.
The recruitment for the Project Assistant posts is for the 05 projects. These projects are of National Ambient Air Quality Monitoring, Environmental Quality Assessment of Beach Resort and Theme Park, Preparation of Compendium on Environmental Statistics in UT in Puducherry, Assessment of Dust Emissions and Distance Criteria from Stone Crushing Industry in Tamil Nadu and Air Quality Monitoring and Delineation of Mitigation for the Palava Dynasty Historic Shore Temple Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu. Aspirants are recruited for a period of one year. during this tenure, they receive a monthly salary of Rs. 31,000 or Rs. 35,000 depending upon the educational qualification.
To apply for the said post, candidates must possess BE/ B. Tech in Civil/ Chemical Engineering with Computer Literacy. Those who have ME/ M. Tech in Environmental/ Chemical Engineering can also apply for a Project Assistant. Candidates with M. Sc in chemistry with computer literacy are also eligible for the announced posts. For Project Assistant Level II, the upper age limit is 30 years. For Project Assistant Level III, the maximum age limit is 35 years. Age relaxation to SC/ ST/ OBC category candidates is permissible as per the Government rules.

Based on the educational qualification of the candidates, they are shortlisted for the virtual interview round. All the documents that candidates submit with the form should be shown at the time of an interview for verification. The engagements to the said post are on a temporary basis which may get extended depending on the duration of the project. Aspirants who are selected for this recruitment have to work at CSIR-NEERI, Chennai.
