Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur is inviting applications from eligible candidates for the post of SMS (Agrometeorology) and Agromet Observer. As per the notice, 18 vacancies are announced for this recruitment. Interested and eligible applicants have to appear for the walk-in-interview. The interview for SMS, Agrometeorology will be held on September 15, 2020, and for Agromet Observer the interview is on September 16, 2020. The post of SMS (Agrometeorology) and Agromet Observer is announced under the DAMU Project at Krishi Vigyan Kendra Aligarh, Etawah, Farrukhabad, Kanpur Dehat, Firozabad, Kasganj, Raebareli and Hardoi. Candidates have to report sharp at 10:30 AM in Directorate of Extension. No separate call letters are sent to candidates to appear for the interview. Shortlisted aspirants have to appear for interview carrying all the relevant documents in support of the educational qualifications, age, work experience. Candidates have to carry the original documents as well as the photocopies of the same to the venue. Applicants who have published a research work or papers must attach documents for the same in a separate sheet.
There is no requirement to submit an application form before the interview dates. Eligible candidates have to be present at the venue with the document and a brief bio-data, application on the prescribed application form with the latest photograph affixed. The prescribed application form can be downloaded from the CSAUK website, csauk.ac.in. Moreover, a processing fee should be deposited for attending the interview. Those who have applied for the SMS (Agrometeorology) have to pay Rs. 600/- and Agromet Observer has to pay Rs. 400/- as the application fee.
To appear for the interview candidates must meet the prescribed eligibility criteria. Applicants should possess a post-graduation degree in Agrometeorology/ Meteorology/ Agronomy/ Agriculture Physics. However, preference will be given to candidates with post-graduation in Agrometeorology. Those who wish to appear for Agromet Observer interview must have passed 10+2 in Science stream. They should also have basic knowledge of computer operations.
The shortlisted candidates are recruited on a co-terminus basis with the project. This means that their service period will be continued till the time project is in progress. Selected candidates have to report for the duty within 10 days from the date of issue of the order of the appointment. They will be posted at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK)- Aligarh, Etawah, Farrukhabad, Kanpur Dehat, Firozabad, Kasganj, Raebareli and Hardoi.
