The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has successfully conducted the semester 1 examination for ICSE (class 10) and ISC (class 12). It was expected that the results for the semester 1 exams will be announced any time during these days. So far, there has been no official confirmation regarding the same.
Yesterday, several videos were being circulated on social media platforms stating that the results have already been declared on the official website cisce.org. After going through these reports, when the students went ahead to check their CISCE result 2021, they found that they were unable to access the same. This was possibly due to a misunderstanding at the reporters’ end. When the students entered the required credentials such as course, UID, and index numbers on the official websites, they were surprised to find the previous year’s results.
The possible reason behind this confusion is that this time, CISCE has decided to conduct the board examinations in two phases. The examination that has been held recently is the Semester 1 exam 2021 – 2022. On the other hand, if one checks cisce.org, they will still find a result link displayed on the right-hand side of the page saying ‘Results 2021’. The year, i.e. 2021, could have created confusion among the reporters and hence they predicted that the semester 1 results have been declared by the Council.
These sorts of videos have created great confusion among the students while some of them became outraged. Hence, it is advised to believe in any such video or social media report, unless it is an official notice by CISCE. Reportedly, a circular is also released two days prior to the declaration of results. Thus, students and guardians are advised to keep an eye on the official website cisce.org.
CISCE has already declared that the students who have appeared for the semester 1 examinations will be issued a computer-generated mark sheet. The mark sheets will only indicate the marks obtained by the students. There will not be any mention of whether they have passed or failed in the examination. After conducting the semester 2 examinations, CISCE will compile the results of both semesters and then declare the results. The pass certificate will be issued only after that.
The Council conducted the semester 1 examination with a bifurcated syllabus. Similarly, the semester 2 examinations will be held with another part of the syllabus. The tentative duration for holding the CISCE semester 2 examinations is between March to April 2022.
