The wait for the 95,000 students of Odisha Plus 2 Science is finally over. The results of Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) +2 Science has been declared today i.e on May 19, 2018. Those who have given the exam can check their results at orissaresults.nic.in, http://www.chseodisha.nic.in. Many unofficial websites have also given the link to check the Odisha +2 Science Results.
The wait for the students of Commerce and Arts stream is still not over. They can also expect their results anytime soon, although there is no official announcement of the dates for the result. It is being said that the Commerce and Arts results might be declared next week.
The results have seen a dip in the pass percentage figure. Compared to last year’s 81.11%, this year the figure stood at 76.98%. 73000 students out of 96000 students have cleared Odisha +2 Science exam 2018. Girls have performed better with 77.88 pass percentage whereas boys the pass percentage of boys stands at 75.69.
Seeing the numbers in division terms, the First division has been obtained by 26 percent students. 33 percent of students have bagged the second division and 39 percent have got the third division. While 41 students (28 boys and 13 girls) have cleared the exam with 90% and above marks.
None of the colleges recorded zero pass percentage this year, as compared to last year when 3 colleges reported nil pass percentage. Total 41 students have scored above 90% . This includes 28 males and 13 females across the state. Around 1570 students have scored more than 80% and 7043 students have secured more than 70% in this years plus 2 results.
Nayagarh district is on the top this year in terms of pass percentage terms. Here, the highest pass percentage was 92.23%. Gajapati district performed poorly with only 43% students passing from this region. 86.42 percent students from Puri District have cleared this year’s +2 Science results.
Balasore district which, until last year, had the highest pass percentage last year, has lost its top spot. The district witnessed a pass percentage of 89.69 only in comparoson to last year’s 93.61%. Majority of 11293 students had appeared for the +2 science exam from Khordha district and the pass percentage stands at 88.18.
The students who want to get their results rechecking for +2 result can do so. This process will begin from June 4, 2018. They will have to do so before the last date. This year is special because CBSE pattern has been introduced
To see the Science results, candidates will need the registration details which they will have to enter after opening the official website and the appropriate link. This year, Odisha +2 Examinations for Science, Arts and Commerce were conducted from began on March 6 were conducted till March 29, 2018. Around 3,65,000 students from 1,504 colleges in Science, Arts, Commerce and Vocational education streams had appeared the annual exams in 1,106 centres across the state this year.
The Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha was established in accordance with the Odisha Higher Secondary Education Act 1982. It was constituted to regulate, control and develop Higher Secondary Education in the State of Orissa.
The administrative function of the Council commenced from 7th September 1982 in a rented building at Budheswari Colony, Bhubaneswar. The campus has been named as “PRAJNAPITHA”.
