Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has delayed the CBSE Class 10, 12 Term 1 result. The examination was conducted in December 2022, and the board has not provided any date for the result declaration. It has been more than 2 months as of now and the students have become anxious and are pleading the board to release the results and cause no further delay in the release of the Term 1, CBSE board exam result. It has further been fuelled when the board announced the Term 2 schedule.
Possible Reasons for CBSE Class 10, 12 Term 1 Result
- Administrative shuffle, CTET’s load
In the last months, CBSE has faced a complete shift in the administration with IAS Vineet Joshi taking up the post of chairman. This shift has affected the working policy of the board and has affected a lot of ongoing exams. Apart from the CBSE board’s result, the CBSE has also failed to release the result for the CTET 2022 exam. This has, in turn, increased the overall pressure on the board.
- Delay in copy-checking
Another top reason for this delay is the disruption in the answer sheet evaluation for the exam. The teachers have commenced the copy checking on the day of the exam that was stopped. After this, the copies were sealed and sent to the regional officer who was entrusted to check the answers and calculate the marks on behalf of the board. Reports suggest that this is also one of many possible reasons for the delay in the CBSE Term 1 result release.
CBSE Term 1 and 2 Combined Result
Recently, a report published by NDTV suggested that the CBSE board shall be releasing the combined result for the Term 1 and 2 examinations in May/June. This was reportedly notified by officials from the board, wherein the person said that certain consideration is being given to declare the results jointly.
However, counter reports quash this theory and suggest that the officials have denied such claims. It was reported that the board is not thinking of releasing the combined results and that the delay was only administrative. They further quoted that there is no communication regarding the CBSE Term result from the higher authorities. Here, it must be noted that once the Term 2 exam concludes, CBSE will release a mark sheet containing the scores from both terms.
With this update, now there are two possible stances, if the board releases the Term 1 result separately then it shall be announced anytime soon. Whereas, if the theory of combined result stands to be true then, the candidates shall get the CBSE Term 1 and 2 in May or June 2022.
