Soon after the conduction of CBSE Term 1 2021-222 board exams, students have been ardently waiting for the Term I results to come out. Although the Central Education Board of Education (CBSE) is yet to provide any date for result declaration, a recent news report has provided an important update about the Term I results. This report suggests that results will most likely be announced after next week, further prolonging the wait of Class 10 and 12 students. However, there are certainly important reasons behind this delay which a student ought to know.

According to a CBSE official, the evaluation of Class 10 and 12 Term I exams is still underway and yet to be concluded. Furthermore, the central education board is scheduled to review the evaluation process next week, amid rising COVID-19 cases in the country. However, the officials neither provided a fixed date nor a deadline on when the Term I results will be announced.

What’s the Current CBSE Class 10 and 12 Evaluation Process?

The central education board had introduced a new board pattern and evaluation process for the academic year 2021-22. Accordingly, two board exams were to be conducted for the current year, one for Term I and the other for Term II. While the Term I board exams were entirely in nature while Term II board exams were to be held in the subjective format. While the first term exams have been held successfully, the board is concerned about the second set of board exams.

If the number of COVID-19 cases continues to increase in the country, CBSE will have to think of an alternative evaluation process. It might be compelled to use the criteria similar to those considered last year for evaluating students in a fair manner. While the board is trying to remain optimistic, it cannot discount the possibility completely.

CBSE Term I 2021-22 Results After Next Week

The CBSE official has confirmed that the Class 10 and 12 evaluation is still underway. With a possible meeting in the next week, results will be out, thereafter. They will most likely be announced on the official portal cbse.nic.in. Along with the announcement of results, students can also expect a major announcement regarding a change in the evaluation process. Only if the education board plans on changing the process. This will only be decided based on the pandemic situation this week and the next. hence, students are advised to visit the official website frequently for any updates in this regard.
