The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) successfully conducted the class 12th Home Science term 1 examination today, dated December 22, 2021. The students were supposed to reach their respective exam centers 30 minutes before the examination timing according to the CBSE guidelines to avoid any inconvenience. To begin with, the Home Science examination was conducted for a duration of one and a half hours from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. Like every other CBSE exam this year, the exam was conducted through pen and paper-based offline mode. The board had earlier released the bifurcated syllabus for Home Science and revised exam pattern for the term 1 CBSE examinations. The revised exam pattern, specimen paper, and bifurcated syllabus for all the class 12th subjects were published on the official website of the conducting body, CBSE i.e cbse.nic.in.
According to the students and subject experts, the CBSE class 12th Home Science examination consisted of questions that were entirely based on the provided syllabus and could be completed within the given duration. The Home Science question paper was familiar to the sample paper provided to them by the board. The examination was entirely based on an easy-to-moderate level and the question paper consisted of objective-based questions.
Many educators and subject experts have released the exam analysis and unofficial answer keys online for the Home Science examination. The students are advised to check more than one answer key for accuracy since all of them are unofficial. The Home Science bifurcated syllabus included three units namely, Work, Livelihood and Career; Nutrition, Food Science and Technology; Human Development and Family Studies. These units included sub-topics like Introduction to work, livelihood and careers; work, age, and gender; ergonomics; clinical nutrition and dietetics; public nutrition and health; food processing and technology; food quality and food safety; early childhood care and education; management of support services, programs and institutions for children, youth and elderly. The theory examination of the Home Science examination consisted of 55 questions for a total of 35 marks. All the questions were in MCQ format and the students were supposed to attempt any 45 questions.
The students are waiting for the official Home Science answer key in order to cross-check their answers. The official answer key for the Home Science examination will be released on their portal, cbse.nic.in. The official answer key is going to be released in the form of a PDF which the students can download and check their answers. The students must keep an eye on the official website for any new information regarding the official answer keys.
