WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam) is scheduled to be held on April 23, 2022. The portal for online application for the said exam will be open from December 24, 2022. West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam Board (WBJEEB) which conducts this exam for admissions into Engineering and Pharmacy courses released a revised timetable yesterday. According to it, the dates for the commencement of the online application have been pushed from December 21 to December 24, 2021.
The portal for online registration will be available on the official website of WBJEE itself at wbjeeb.nic.in from December 24. Candidates will have to enter their personal information, choice of language and other preferences while filling the form. The final date to submit the form is January 10, 2022 and the correction window will be open from January 11 to 13, 2022. All candidates will have to pay a registration fee to submit their form. The application fee for General Category students is ₹500 and for SC/ST/OBC is ₹400.

Candidates who are interested in registering for the exam should not be younger than 17 years old as on December 31, 2021. There is no upper age limit except for the Marine Engineering course i.e 25 years. It is compulsory for the candidates to pass Class 12 or equivalent exam with a minimum aggregate percentage of 50. The required percentage for the reserved category is 45. Physics and Mathematics are taken into account for admission.
WBJEE is an offline exam and consists of two papers i.e Mathematics (Paper 1) and Physics and Chemistry (Paper 2). Both the papers are for 2 hours each and a total of 155 questions are asked. 75 questions of Mathematics for 1 marks each consist of the first paper. 40 questions each from Physics and Chemistry for 50 marks respectively makes up the second paper. The final scoring is out of 200. Paper 2 will be held on the fist day of the exam and Paper 1 on the second.
