The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has concluded the Biotechnology exam today, i.e. April 28, 2022. Along with this subject, the exam was also held for other subjects like Engineering Graphics, Retail, Electronic Technology, Food Nutrition & Dietetics and Library & Info. Science. The Biotechnology exam was held for a duration of two and half hours, starting from 10:30 AM. Students were given a reading time of 15 minutes to go through the question paper.
When, Where and How to get Answer Keys?
Soon after the conclusion of the exam, students seem to be in search of the answer keys. Although the official ones are not yet available, the unofficial answer keys are likely to be released by coaching centres and subject experts. Usually, the answer keys are made available on the respective channels of the coaching institutes. Channels such as Vedantu NEET Made EJEE, Unacademy, Competition Wallah, Apni Kaksha, etc. are expected to come up with the answer keys.
It takes a while for the answer keys to be available so it is advised that students keep an eye on the respective channels on YouTube for updates. Students can go through the discussions and crosscheck the answers to analyze their performance in the exam. This can also help in calculating an expected score. Question Paper
The total marks of the question paper are 35 and all the questions were compulsory to answer. There are three sections in the question paper. While Section A has 6 questions for 2 marks each, Section B has 6 questions for 3 marks each. However, Section C comprised case-based questions of 5 marks.
Questions in the CBSE class 12 Biotechnology paper were covered from two units namely units 5 and 6. The fifth unit is on Protein and Gene Manipulation and the sixth unit covered Cell Structure and Genetic Manipulation. Practical exams, however, are held for 15 marks.
Students have been instructed to carry their own hand sanitisers in a transparent bottle. They have to use face masks to cover their nose and mouth. Every student must follow social distancing norms in the examination centres.
